Your data, clearly explained
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 11, 2026
At a glance
QuestMarker has no account system. Task and settings data are stored locally in an App Group container shared by the app and widget. QuestMarker has no developer-operated backend, no analytics, no advertising SDK, and no advertising profile.
Task data and settings
The App Group container is stored locally on your device and shared by the QuestMarker app and widget so both surfaces access the same task system. It holds task titles, notes, dates, reminder choices, completion state, and app settings. This information is not uploaded to a server operated by the developer.
Optional Apple Reminders access
Apple Reminders access is optional and requested only when you choose the import feature. With your permission, QuestMarker reads the reminder lists and reminders needed to let you select and import them. Imported items are copied into QuestMarker's local storage.
QuestMarker will delete imported reminders from Apple Reminders only when you explicitly choose that deletion option as part of the import flow. You can change Reminders permission later in iOS Settings.
Local notifications
If you grant notification permission and create a reminder, QuestMarker asks iOS to schedule local notifications on your device. The app does not use a developer push-notification server. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases and StoreKit
Optional purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. QuestMarker receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock a feature; the developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's policies.
Device backups
Depending on your device and Apple backup settings, locally stored QuestMarker data may be included in device backups. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by a developer-operated QuestMarker service.
Deletion and retention
You can complete, edit, move, restore, and delete tasks in the app. Removing or uninstalling QuestMarker can remove its local data from the device, subject to any device backups you control. Uninstalling QuestMarker does not delete source items that remain in Apple Reminders.
