Local data and recovery

QuestMarker tasks are stored locally. Recovery depends on your normal device backups; there is no QuestMarker account or developer server holding a second copy.

Removing or uninstalling QuestMarker can remove this local data. Before removing the app, confirm that any backup you rely on is current.

Quick troubleshooting

Tasks or widgets look out of date

  1. Open QuestMarker and allow a moment for the app and widget to refresh.
  2. Confirm that the widget feature is unlocked if the app asks you to restore a purchase.
  3. Remove and re-add the widget if iOS continues to show an old snapshot.

A reminder did not alert

  1. Check QuestMarker's notification permission in iOS Settings.
  2. Confirm the task still has a future reminder time.
  3. Check Focus settings and notification delivery options on the device.

Apple Reminders import is unavailable

  1. Open iOS Settings and review QuestMarker's Reminders permission.
  2. Return to QuestMarker and start the import again.
  3. Remember that importing copies selected items; source deletion occurs only when you explicitly select that option.

A purchase is not recognized

Use the Restore Purchases option in QuestMarker while signed in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Apple handles payment and receipt processing through the App Store.

What to include in a safe report

Do not attach the app's task data, reminders, or purchase receipt. Replace real content with neutral examples.
